HOCKEY ROUNDUP: Rochester Unites skates past Stoney Creek; Berkley blanks Troy

After two scoreless periods, Rochester United found a way to tuck the puck into the back of the net in a 1-0OAA Red Division triumph over Rochester Stoney Creek Saturday at the Onyx.

Lee Teasley scored 3:53 into the third period for the game’s only goal. Anthony Facca drew the assists for United (1-2). Ian Mercer finished with 29 saves for Rochester.

Stoney Creek outshot Rochester by a 29-19 margin. Jake Landuyt finished with 18 saves for Stoney Creek.

BERKLEY 4, TROY 0: four different players scored for Berkley in this OAA White Division hockey contest at the Troy Sports Center.

Michael Michalak, Joe Leider, Bradley Zucker and Cody Shraffenberger for Berkley (2-1, 1-0)

Troy is 0-2 overall, 0-1 in league play..

WHITE LAKE LAKELAND 3, ROCHESTER UNITED 1: Lakeland scored the first two goals and tucked away a late goal to ice Rochester United at Lakeland Arena. Kyle Zunich scored twoce for Lakeland, including the eventual game-winner with 3:40 to play. Ryan Biando also scpored for the Eagles, while Jordan Blanzy and Evan Ronayne both finished with two assists apiece for Lakeland, which held a 32-24 shots advantage. Trevor Kalinowski had 23 saves for Lakeland.

Dan Ryan scored for Rochester off an assist from Michael Potoniec. Ian Mercer had 29 saves for Rochester.
