Bethany Christian cruises past crosstown rival Christian Leadership
TROY — Troy Bethany Christian outscored host Troy Christian Leadership Academy in the first three periods of play, and that helped the Bruins post a 47-30 non-league girls basketball triumph.
Freshman guard Sarah Bishop continued her strong debut season with 17 points, while who sophomore guard Lianna Sprankle added nine points for the Bruins.
Jenna Bryer and Rachel Witherspoon both finished with seven points for Christian Leadership (1-1).
