Cardinal Stritch pulls way from Rochester College
GRAND RAPIDS — Cardinal Stritch used a 37-19 second half to pull away from Rochester College for a 66-44 triumph over Rochester College in the semifinals of the Cornerstone Holiday Classic in Grand Rapids
Wisconsin-based Cardinal Stritch led 29-25 at the half.
Julie Raeder led Cardinal Stritch with 20 points. Janelle Bagneski added 10 points and Marianna Herrera chipped in with nine points for Stritch (10-3).
Elizabeth Stockwell was the Warriors’ only player to score in double figures, collecting 13 points and seven rebounds in the loss. Lexy Newsom added eight points, five rebounds and four assists, Jessica Crook added seven points and Sam Tomaschko followed with 10 rebounds for Rochester College.
