Fourth-quarter run lifts Stoney Creek past Rochester

ROCHESTER HILLS — Rochester Stoney Creek outscored Rochester in three of the four quarter to post a 50-39 OAA Red Division girls basketball win.

Stoney Creek used a 14-4 run in the fourth quarter to pull ahead. The Cougars (4-5, 3-5) led 12-11 after the first quarter and 24-20 at the half. Rochester went on a 15-12 surge in the third quarter to pull to within 36-35 entering the fourth quarter.

Zhana Randolph Haddan scored 14 points for Rochester (1-8, 0-7).

TROY BETHANY CHRISTIAN 36, LIFE SUMMIT HOME SCHOOL 33: A 12-1 run to open the game halped the Bruins earn this non-league victory Tuesday. Bethany led 21-9 at the half, only to see Life Summit make it close with a 24-15 second half. Lianna Sprankle scored 18 to lead Bethany Christian (5-2). Life Summit got 13 points from Kelsey Jack.
