WEDNESDAY’S ROUNDUP: Eagles remain perfect with rout of Midland Calvary
MIDLAND — Rochester Hills Christian continued its best start in its girls basketball program’s history Wednesday, posting a 52-25 rout of host Midland Calvary Baptist in a non-conference game Wednesday.
Megan Steiner paced the Eagles (11-0) with another double-double that featured 12 points and 12 rebounds. Jane Crile added 11 points and 13 rebounds, Caroline Milsk chipped in with 11 points and Devon Tucker finished with eight points and seven rebounds for the Eagles.
Rochester Hills led only 10-6 after the first quarter but blew the game open with an 13-2 run to start the second quarter.
Midland Calvary was paced by Ashli Wallenbeck, who netted 14 points and 10 rebounds. Stephanie Grove added seven points for the Kings (4-6).
BOYS BASKETBALL
MIDLAND CALVARY BAPTIST 57, ROCHESTER HILLS CHRISTIAN 42: The host Kings turned a 20-19 halftime deficit into a 15-point non-league win Wednesday with a 38-22 second half.
Aaron Wheeler led the Kings (8-5with 21 points and Steven Miller added 17 points for Midland Calvary.
Josh West scored 10 points for Rochester Hills Christian (7-6).
