CLARKSTON — The last time Clarkston and Southfield met on the hardcourt, the Bluejays were able to rally for the OAA Red Division triumph.

Now, Clarkston has exacted some sweet revenge.

The Wolves overcame a 54-51 deficit in the fourth quarter to spring a 56-54 upset on Southfield, which had won two straight over Clarkston.

The Bluejays also defeated the Wolves in last year’s Class A regional finals after the two teams split during the 2009-10 regular season.

Junior guard Nick Tatu scored a game-high 23 points, including the final five points in the final two minutes for Clarkston. Mitch Baenzinger added 16 pints and Marcus Hardy followed with eight points for the Wolves (7-5, 5-2), who climbed into a league tie

Desmond Barnes led Southfield with 17 points. Carlton Brundidge added just seven points for the Bluejays (9-4, 5-2).
