THURSDAY’S GIRLS SOCCER ROUNDUP: Lake Orion slips past Waterford Mott; Adams edges Grand Blanc

LAKE ORION — Alyssa Wesley and Maddie Hutchison both scored second half goals and Lake Orion returned to the win column with a 3-2 non-league girls soccer win Thursday over Waterford Mott.

Hutchinson scored off a pass from Katy Wagner for the game-winner. Wagner had two assists, while Sarah Quattrochi had a goal and Shannon Iglis an assist for the Dragons (3-2-1).

Hannah Roades finished with a goal and an assist and Hannah Messer gave Mott a 2-1 lead in the second half.

ROCHESTER ADAMS 3, GRAND BLANC 2: Adams remained unbeaten Thursday, as Merlin Beckwith scored two goals in the second half and the Highlanders rallied for the non-conference win. Mackenzie Barber also scored, while Jessica Wineke and Lexie Lewandowski combined for four saves in the win for Adams.

ROYAL OAK 6, OXFORD 1: Brianna Johnson scored for Oxford’s and Sarah Stroope had 13 saves in goal for the Wildcats (1-2-3).
