WEDNESDAY’S PREP ROUNDUP: Lake Orion holds off Troy Athens

LAKE ORION — Jesica Smude picked up a late goal and it was enough to propel host Lake Orion to a thrilling, 7-6 OAA crossover win Wednesday over Troy Athens.

Smude finished the night with three goals and one assist for the Dragons (4-3-0). Paige Hammerl had a goal and two assists, while Nicole Blovet, Mallory DeMott and Ronnie Booth added goals.

Sophomore goalie Tiffany Smrtnik stopped six shots for the Red Hawks.
