GIRLS SOCCER: Rochester topples Stoney Creek; Andover trips Oxford

ROCHESTER HILLS — After dropping a 1-0 decision to Rochester Stoney Creek two weeks ago, Rochester gained its measure of revenge on the soccer pitch Tuesday, topping the cougars 1-0 in OAA Red Division play.

Maddie Chilcote netted the lone goal of the game for the Falcons (4-4-2, 2-3-1), while Riayane Williams drew the assist.

Laura Ivezaj recorded a shutout for Rochester, making six saves.

BLOOMFIELD HILLS ANDOVER 2, OXFORD 1: Rachel LaFerve and Emma Groski scored for Andover and Sami Pastewski scored in a losing effort for Oxford Tuesday in this OAA White Division affair. Sarah Stroope made four saves for the Wildcats (3-3-3, 2-3-2). Emily Atkinson made six stops for the win for Andover (5-2-1, 5-0-1).

AUBURN HILLS OAKLAND CHRISTIAN 2, BIRMINGHAM ROEPER 0: Cheyenne Witt and Tori Johns both scored to lift Oakland Christian to this MIAC Blue Division victory over Roper, giving the Lancers the regular season sweep of their rivals. Madison Bottiaux mad six saves in goal for the shutout for Oakland Christian (4-4-0, 3-3-0). Alia Raheem finished with 11 saves in goal for Roeper (1-6-0, 1-4-0).

TROY ATHENS 2, CLARKSTON 0: Athens remained in the OAA Red Division title chase with this shutout win Tuesday at home. Liz Abro finished with a goal and an assist and Leah Schmitz also scored for Athens (8-1-0, 5-1-0), who have won eight straight. Jenna O’Dell had the shutout in net, her fourth of the season for the Red Hawks. Katie Miller stopped 12 shots in goal for Clarkston (2-4-3, 1-3-2).

ROCHESTER ADAMS 7, ROYAL OAK 0: The Highlanders remained atop the OAA Red Division standings with this rout of the Ravens Tuesday on the road. Macy Houghtlin and Mackenzie Barber each scored twice for Adams (9-1-2, 5-0-1). Merlin Beckwith, Allison Reed and Tiffany Buckler also scored for the Highlanders. Jessica Wineke notched the shutout for Adams.

WATERFORD OUR LADY OF THE LAKES 6, ROYAL OAK SHRINE CATHOLIC 1: The Lakers continued to dominate the CHSL Tri-Sectional with this lopsided win Tuesday. Megan Topolewski scored three times and assisted on two more for the undefeated Lakers (8-0-1). Jessica Parry added a goal and three assists and both Lindsay Straw and Ava Doetsch had single tallies for WOLL.
