Bethany routs Berean; Notre Dame Prep doubles up No. 7 Gabriel Richard
TROY — Behind a late eruption, Troy Bethany Christian toppled Adrian Berean Baptist 7-1 Thursday in a non-league boys soccer match.
Up 3-0 with 10 minutes to play, the Bruins scored four times in the final 10 minutes.
Noah Francis scored five goals, giving him 17 on the season. Daniel Sprankle added a goal and Scot Cho also scored for the Bruins (8-1-0).
Mike Matthews tallied for Berean Baptist (2-2-0).
PONTIAC NOTRE DAME PREP 4, ANN ARBOR GABRIEL RICHARD 2: Notre Dame Prep built a 3-1 lead at the half and cruised to the CHSL win over the Fighting Irish.
Ryan Pierce netted two goals for Notre Dame Prep (3-3-0, 1-0-0). Ruairi McGreevy and Peter Dondanville also scored for the Fighting Irish.
