Holly finishes 1-2-1 at the Birch Run tournament
BIRCH RUN — Holly finished 1-2-1 at Saturday’s Holly tournament, falling to the hosts in the first round of bracket play after going 1-1-1 in pool play.
Holly lost to Laingsburg (25-17, 25-13), split with Montrose (24-26, 25-19) and swept Bay City John Glenn (25-14, 26-24). In the playoffs, the Bronchos dropped a 25-19, 25-12 decision to Birch Run.
Ashley Wohlfeil had 88 good serve receive attempts and 27 digs to pace Holly. Megan Piwowarski added five solo blocks, Hannah Timm served up seven aces and 23 kills and Adrienne Cheff picked up 21 assists for Holly (5-8-3).
