SWIMMING: Rochester Adams doubles up Lake Orion
ROCHESTER HILLS — Rochester Adams opened with a win in the 200 medley relay and never looked back in a 125-60 OAA Red Division girls swimming triumph over visiting Lake Orion.
Hanna Hunstad, Kristen Finney, Bianca Tiberio and Krystal Karas comprised the winning 200 medley relay, which clocked 1:53.47. The Highlanders (4-1, 2-1) won nine of 12 events on the night.
Finney came back to win the 100 breaststroke (1:09.14), Tiberio the 100 butterfly (1:01.95), Hunstad the 500 free (5:32.82) and Karas the 100 free (55.52) for Adams.
Keegan McCaffrey the diving (221.65 points) and Theresa Riviera the 100 backstroke (1:05.16) for the Highlanders, who alos won the 200 free relay and 400 free relay.
Tiberio, Finney, Karas and Natalie Schmidt joined for the win in the 200 free relay (1:44.40), while Hunstad, Riviera, Schmidt and Gabrielle Thivierge teamed up for the win in the 400 free relay.
For Lake Orion (1-3, 0-2), Annnie Jongekrijg won both the 50 free (24.17) and 200 free (1:58.35), while Counrtey McLear touched first in the 200 IM (2:16.23).
