Lahser upends Holly 1-0 in district opener
BLOOMFIELD HILLS — Bloomfield Hills Lahser may have finished in the bottom third of the OAA Red Division this season after finishing second a year ago, when the Knights eventually reached the Division 2 state finals.
Lahser still found its strength of schedule enough to carry them in its Division 2 district opener this time around.
The host Knights upended Holly, 1-0, in Tuesday’s pre-district to advance to Thursday’s district semifinal against Orchard Lake St. Mary’s.
Conor Wahl scored the game-winning goal in the 60th minute off a Connaugh McLaughlin assist to lead the Knights.
Logan McDonald made five saves for the shutout for the Knigths. Ryan St. John made five saves for Holly (6-4-7).
