Oxford plows by Oak Park for fifth straight win

OAK PARK Every team wants to enter the postseason on a roll. Oxford is just a team.

The Wildcats capped the regular season with their fifth straight win Friday, topping host Oak Park 31-21 .

Prescott Line was held to 25 carries and 176 yards and scored on 1, 2 and 6 yards for Oxford (7-2, 6-2), which clinched second place in the OAA White Division with the win.

Glacier Wallington was 7-for-7 passing for 150 yards, including a 52-yard strike to Tyler Hunsucker for the third touchdown.

Mike Kitchner converted a 40-yard field goal to end the first half for the Wildcats (7-2, 6-2), who had their 28-year streak of winning seasons snapped last season only to return to the postseason this season for the first time since 2008.

Denzel Wright had 130 yards on 15 carries for Oak Park and scored three touchdowns for the Knights (3-6, 2-6).
