COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Warriors romp St. Clair College
ROCHESTER HILLS — Rochester College men’s basketball team kept up its winning ways Sunday with a convincing 79-33 victory over St. Clair College (Ont.) at Rochester High School.
The Warriors improved their record to 9-1 while the Saints dropped to 1-4.
RC came out of the shoot right away with a 10-0 run to set the tone. The Warriors continued to dominate the half highlighted by several spectacular dunks by senior Ricky Doran (Clinton Township Chippewa Valley) and went into the half with a 43-17 advantage.
The second half mirrored the first half as the Warriors continued their high-powered offensive attack through the hot hands of junior Brad Norman (Bay City Central), who connected on six second-half three-pointers.
RC opened its lead up at the 9:30 mark when Norman connected on his first triple of the night off a no-look feed by junior Ian Jenkins (Detroit Renaissance).
The Warriors were paced by Norman, who finished the night with 20 points. Doran pitched in 17 points and seven rebounds and senior Stephan Henning (Rochester) also helped the Warriors’ cause scoring 11 along with his seven assists.
