ROCHESTER HILLS — Holly’s girls golf program is only three years old, but the Bronchos already have one player headed to the college ranks.

Senior Emma Alexander signed recently with Rochester College, where she will play for coach Clayton Bissett. Rochester College’s women’s program is only three years old as well.

Alexander earned awards for sportsmanship, leadership, and was selected as her team captain in 2010. Alexander earned Honorable Mention All-Flint Metro League honors and tied for 14th at the Oakland County Division II Tournament.

“I am very excited to have signed Emma,” said Bissett. “She is a great young lady, an excellent student, and a very hard worker. She was a good high school golfer and she has the potential to become a very good college golfer. She is going to be a great addition to our team.”
