PREP HOCKEY: Massa’s hat trick helps Farmington ices Stoney Creek

FARMINGTON — Zach Massa netted the hat trick Wednesday and that helped Farmington skate to a 6-1 boys hockey victory over Rochester Stoney Creek at the Suburban Ice Arena.

Massa scored the second, third and sixth goals for the Falcons, who at one point led 5-0 in the second period.

Kris Hamilton, Nick Heffron and Blake Holmes also scored for Farmington. Josh Cliff made 17 saves for the Falcons.

Cameron O’Shea scored for Stoney Creek (1-6-0, 0-5-0) and Callen Stewart made 21 saves for the Cougars.
