KEY NEWCOMERS: Marie Clark, fr. (all-around); Lexi Gird, fr. (all-around); Nicole Wagner, fr. (al-around); Erin Roy, jr. (vault, floor, beam); Nicki Vanacker, fr. (all-around).

KEY LOSSES: Jacqlynn Stewart.

NOTABLES: This is the third school year that Athens and Avondale have joined forces, as Avondale had never before had a team until recent times. Combined, they have remained a top-10 team in the state, a perch Athens has enjoyed on and off for the past three decades, including several top-five state-meet finishes in the past decade.
