Rochester Hills Christian edges Troy Bethany
TROY — Rochester Hills Christian may have graduated eight players and four starters off last season’s FBAC Red Division championship team.
The Eagles aren’t about to relinquish that stranglehold on the top spot.
Rochester Hills wrapped up a key road win Tuesday by topping Troy Bethany Christian, 42-40, in a key FBAC-Red girls basketball contest.
Rochester Hills (7-3, 3-0) picked up two stellar games from freshmen. Jenna Porter supplied 17 points, five rebounds and three blocked shots, while Ashley Parker added eight points and nine rebounds for the Eagles.
Senior guard Allise Dubay, a three-time all-league honoree, added 13 points, seven assists and five steals Rochester Hills.
Sophomore Sarah Bishop had 12 points for Bethany Christian (4-1, 2-1).
