OU’s Hamilton named Summit League Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. Reggie Hamilton was named The Summit League Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday. Hamilton, a native of Chicago, earns his third honor of the season and fifth overall.

Hamilton led Oakland to a 96-86 win over IPFW last Saturday in Fort Wayne with 30 points and eight assists. He went 5-for-10 from behind the arc and played in 36 minutes. When the Mastodons cut the lead to six points midway through the second half, Hamilton made two consecutive baskets and assisted on a 3-pointer to quickly get OU back up by double digits.

He moved in to 18th all-time on the league scoring list with 1,714 points. Hamilton also ranks 13th on the all-time league assists list with 453.

Hamilton and the Golden Grizzlies will take on Southern Utah inside Centrum Arena on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
