Troy Bethany rolls Lake Orion Baptist, clinches FBAC-Red title share

TROY — Troy Bethany Christian had to win its final two league games in the past two weeks in order to gain a share of the Fundamental Baptist Athletic Conference Red Division crown and the Bruins delivered.

Troy Bethany outscored Lake Orion Baptist in each of the he first three quarters and rolled to a 53-32 win Monday to earn a share of its fifth straight league crown.

Junior guard Ryan Woodham led the Bruins with a game-high 18 points.  Senior guard Mark Bishop added 11 points, senior center Ajay Solomon added 10 points and 10 rebounds and senior forward Daniel Sprankle scored nine for Bethany Christian (14-6, 7-1).

The Bruins finished 7-1 in conference play for the second straight season and shared the title with Rochester Hills Christian for the second consecutive year.

Senior guard James Noruk scored 13 points for Lake Orion Baptist. Sophomore forward Mark Dewar added six points and freshman Micah Bryson had six rebounds for the Lions.
