CLINTON TOWNSHIP — Revenge is even better in the postseason.

The Bruins advance to the third round of the MACS-I tournament and will face second-seeded Rochester Hills Christian at 6 p.m. Friday at Clarkston Springfield Christian.

Senior forward Emily Hinsenkamp scored 19 for Faith, departing the school’s all-time leading scorer. Hannah Boughman had nine points for the Patriots.

MACS DIVISION II

CLARKSTON SPRINGFIELD CHRISTIAN 28, CORUNNA IMMANUEL CHRISTIAN 26: Although the Eagles struggled in the regular season playing against larger schools, this team has shown some spark in the postseason.

Springfield Christian posted this two-point win Wednesday in the Michigan Association of Christian Schools Division II state tournament second round to advance to third-round play Friday.

The Eagles will face Holt Capitol City Baptist at 4 p.m. Friday at Springfield Christian.

Tied at 24-24 at the end of regulation, Springfield Christian outscored the Fire 4-2 in the extra session to advance.

Heather Key led balanced effort with seven points for Springfield Christian. Lauren Key added six points and Savannah Berlinski chipped in with five points for the Eagles.

Springfield led 8-0 after the first quarter and just 10-8 at the break.

Immanuel Christian surged ahead 15-14 after the third quarter, before the Eagles held a 10-9 edge in the fourth stanza to force overtime.

Dan from what I was told we should win the game tomorrow…our game Tuesday we played about as bad as we could. My guess is we will see Maplewood in the final.
