MONDAY’S GIRLS SOCCER ROUNDUP: Rochester blanks Avondale; Milford shuts out Holly

ROCHESTER HILLS — Behind three first-half goals, Rochester blanked Auburn Hills Avondale Monday in OAA Red Division girls soccer play.

Aubrey Konal had a goal and an assist to pace Rochester (3-1-2, 2-1-1). Taylor Clark scored the final two goals and Sofiah Sarah and Gemma Najar also scored for the Falcons, who picked up four saves in goal from Stephanie Huber.

MILFORD 3, HOLLY 0: Milford collected all three goals in the first half to down their neighbors to the north in a non-league match.  Ellie Bothwell, Allyse Zondlak and Paige Smith all scored for Milford (2-0-2), while Janine Bennick made four saves for the Mavericks. Ellie Curtis turned aside 20 of 23 shots for Holly (1-2-1).
