| April 18, 2012 | Comments (1)

TROY — For the first time this season, Troy gave up a goal.

The Colts still had enough offensive firepower to post an 2-1 non-league girls soccer victory over visiting Lapeer West.

Samantha Chouinard converted a cross from Savannah King to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead.

Top-ranked Troy tied the contest later in the first half on a goal by Madison Hirsch, who scored off a pass from Phylisha Drayton.

Erin Wrubel scored the game-winner in the second half for Troy (6-0-0), with Hirsch picking up the assist.

Alison Holland made one save for the win between the pipes for Troy (7-0-0).

Shelby Wagner made eight saves for Lapeer West.
