SOFTBALL: Clarkston wins Pink Classic
CLARKSTON — Behind three impressive wins, Clarkston captured the title at its own Clarkston Pink Classic softball tournament Saturday.
The Wolves defeated Warren Regina (11-5), Sterling Heights Stevenson (1-0) and Fenton (3-1) to move to 8-1 overall on the season.
Megan Hastings supplied five hits on the day, and drove in three runs for Clarkston.
Rachel Vieira added five hits, Sydney Hasselbach belted a three-run home run to go along with two doubles and four RBI for the Wolves.
From the circle, Madeline Maday recorded two of the three wins from the pitcher’s circle.She fanned 11 batters in the finals against Sterling Heights Stevenson.
