BOYS LACROSSE: Clarkston hammers St. Francis; Troy tames Walled Lake Northern

CLARKSTON — Eight different players found the back of the net and Clarkston moved to 6-2 on the season with a 9-4 non-conference boys lacrosse victory over Toledo St. Francis Saturday.

Clarkston scored four in the first and eight in the second for a 12-4 halftime lead. The Wolves outscored St. Francis 5-3 in the second half.

Jordan Kincaid scored scored four goals and Kevin O’Grady had three goals and four assists to lead the Wolves. Travis Craft also scored three goals, Reid Kaminski and Sam Moore scored twice apiece, Kevin Horton had a goal and three assists and both Nick Demmatia Brad Leuenhagen added single goals for Clarkston.

The Wolves outshot St. Francis 27-14.

Defensively, Demmatia had seven ground balls and a takeaway, while Evan Kneisel added three ground balls and four takeaways for the Wolves.

TROY 13, WALLED LAKE NORTHERN 6: Troy built a 5-1 lead at the half and then went on a 8-5 run in the second half to down the Knights in this non-conference game.

Troy, which is off to its best start in years at 9-2 overall, outshot Walled Lake Northern 23-15.

Nick Kondoleon and Justice Bigelow scored three goals apiece to pace the colts attack.

Jay Darish, Colin McLean and Oliver Jang added two goals each for Troy, while Robert Kraft added a single tally for the Colts.

Adam Rank scored three goals to lead Walled Lake Northern.  Austin Stevenson, Logan Johnson and Mark McCallum added single goals for the Knights.
