GIRLS SOCCER DISTRICTS: WOLL shuts out Lutheran Northwest; Adams blanks Romeo

CLARKSTON — The unbeaten season continues.

Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes-Clarkston Everest Collegiate Unified’s advanced to the second round of the Division 4 girls soccer state tournament with an 8-0 shutout of visiting Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest.

WOLL scored six times in the first half and tackled on two more goals after halftime.

Anna Robb scored four goals to lead the way. Rachelle Topolewski added two goals and both Ava Doetsch and Jessica Parry added single goals for the Lakers.

Megan Luttinen recorded the shutout on six saves for Lakes-Everest.

DIVISION 1

ROCHESTER ADAMS 3, ROMEO 0: After a scoreless first half, Adams opened up the Division 1 postseason with this shutout of Romeo Wednesday.

Mackenzie Barber scored what proved to be the game-winner minutes after halftime, while Amy Heidel scored her first varsity goal and Maddie Christenson tallied a penalty kick to lead Adams (14-4-1).

Lexi Lewandowski notched her 10th shutout of the year for Adams, making two saves.

Sophie Smith made 28 saves for Romeo.
