Notre Dame Prep’s Sara Barron earns All-America status
GREENBORO, S.C. — Recent Pontiac Notre Dame Prep grad Sara Barron capped her high school track and field career with high honors.
Barron earned All-America status in the 800 meters with a top-six finish at the New Balance Outdoor Track and Field Nationals at North Carolina-Greensborough.
Barron, the state champ in Division 2 in both the 1,600 and 800, clocked 2:09.25 to place fourth in her final high school event. The top six finishers in each event earn All-America honors.
