SATURDAY’S BOYS SOCCER: Athens, Lutheran Northwest record wins
TROY— Max Klitzke scored a goal and an assists, as Troy Athens toppled Livonia Stevenson for the third time in two seasons Saturday in a non-league boys soccer match, 3-0.
Luis Ayala added a goal and an assists and Bryan Lawson also scored for the Red Hawks (2-10).
Brett Schmitz recorded the shutout in goal.
ROCHESTER HILLS LUTHERAN NORTHWEST 5, PLYMOUTH CHRISTIAN 2: Lutheran Northwest captured its MIAC Blue Division opener Saturday with this decisive victory over the Eagles. Ontario McDonald and Kevin Youh both scored twice, while the Matt Coleman scored the pother goal for the Crusaders (2-1-0, 1-0-0).
