TROY — Behind a goal in each half, Troy Athens moved to 2-0 in the OAA Red Division with a 2-0 boys soccer win Wednesday over Farmington.
Marcello Mancini scored in the first half and Tyler Gasko added an insurance tally in the second half for the Red Hawks. (5-1-0, 2-0-0). Brett Schmitz recorded five saves for the shutout.
OXFORD 3, SWARTZ CREEK 0: Oxford posted an 8-2 shots edge and cruised past Swartz Creek Wednesday in this non-league match.
Junior Travis Simat scored on a pass from senior Jacob Wysocki in the first half, which proved to be the game-winner.. In the second half, senior captain Paul Tomaka had two goals with an assist from Simat to round out the game. Freshman keeper Connor Bandel only had to make one save to preserve the shutout for the Wildcats (4-0-0).
TROY 7, BLOOMFIELD HILLS LAHSER 2: Ian Fox scored three goals and the Colts cruised past Lahser in this OAA Red Division match. Tom Carlson, Mitch Guitar, Zac Doepke and Aaron Faison also scored and Connor Holland picked up the shutout for the Colts (6-0-1, 2-0-0).
Connor Wahl and Garrett Winter scored for Lahser.
