COLLEGE MEN’S SOCCER: Rochester College erupts in 11-0 win over Kuyper College

PONTIAC — In recent weeks, Rochester College’s offense has erupted. Kuyper College became the latest victim.

Ethan West scored two minutes into the contest to kickstart the rout and Chad Helberg scored five goals for the Warriors.

Sophomore Joey Franchini jammed home another goal in the 15th minute off the cross from freshman Anthony Goucher, while freshman Tyler Stephens followed with a third goal in the 17th minute.

Justin Kane set up Chad Helberg’s tally moments later, while Kane upped the lead to 5-0 before the game was even 25 minutes old. Helberg capped the first-half barrage with a late goal.

The Warriors (6-7-0) tacked on five more goals in the second half, as Robert Ekrem, Goucher and Helberg (three straight goals) capped the scoring for Rochester College.
