BOYS SOCCER: Oakland Christian rolls Everest Collegiate for district crown

CLARKSTON — For the seventh straight season, Auburn Hills Oakland Christian has claimed a boys soccer district championship.

The Lancers claimed the title with a 7-0 victory over host Clarkston Everest Collegiate.

Daniel Smith scored three goals to lead Oakland Christian. Chris Polite followed with two goals, while David Lewis and John VanNoord also scored for the Lancers.

VanNoord also picked up two assists, while Andrew borja and Scott Howard had single assists for Oakland Christian. Stuart Sutherland notched the team’s sixth shutout on three saves.
