GIRLS VOLLEYBALL DISTRICTS: Fenton sweeps Holly to reach district finals
FENTON — With Clarkston competing in a separate district this season, Fenton is making the most of its favorite role on the volleyball court.
The Tigers swept Holly in a Class A district finals, posting a 25-12 25-18, 25-10 victory over the Bronchos to advance to Saturday’s district finals against Grand Blanc.
Ashley Bearden, Maizie Martin and Bobbie Eastman all had nine kills for Fenton (44-13-4), while Bearden added 22 assists.
Katie Ordiway had 13 good serve receive passes and 15 digs, while Kate Nitowski had 12 good serve receive passes for Holly.
