GIRLS BASKETBALL: Firebirds burns Rochester Hills
ROCHESTER HILLS — Behind a balanced attack, Novi Home School upended Rochester Hills Christian 42-39 in a non-league girls basketball contest Tuesday.
Rebecca Brandel scored 12 points with 9 rebounds and Ester Brandel and Megan Kaster had seven points each in the win for the Firebirds (2-0).
Jenna Porter had 20 points and 15 rebounds to lead Rochester Hills Christian. Ashley Parker added 17 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks in the losing effort for the Eagles.
