BOYS BASKETBALL: Adams opens up season with one-point win over Eisenhower

ROCHESTER HILLS — Rochester Adams opened up the boys basketball season Friday with a narrow, 47-46 non-conference victory over Utica Eisenhower.

The Highlanders were paced by Akhemji Wiliams, who swished four 3-pointers and finished with 23 points. CJ Borglin added nine rebounds for Adams (1-0).

Dan Schmielelewski scored 18 for Eisenhower.

Adams led 13-10 after the first quarter and used a 14-10 second quarter to take a 27-20 lead at the half.

Eisenhower staged a comeback with an 11-4 third-quarter to tie the game at 31-31. Adams edged the Eagles 16-15 in the final stanza to prevail.
