GIRLS BASKETBALL: Clarkston hands Stoney Creek third straight loss

CLARKSTON — Clarkston handed Rochester Stoney Creek its third straight loss Thursday, topping the Cougars 36-24 in an OAA Red Division girls basketball contest.

Erika Davenport scored 18 and Erin Davenport added six points for Clarkston (5-1, 3-0).

Emma Sobczynski and Samantha Seidell both finished with six points for Stoney Creek (4-3, 1-2). Built a 7-2 lead after the first quarter and held a 21-7 advantage at the half.

Stoney Creek held a 17-15 edge in the second half but could never complete the comeback.
