GIRLS BASKETBALL: Rochester Hills soars past Springfield Christian; Oxford tames Andover
ROCHESTER HILLS — Rochester hills Christian continued its fast start of the season, soaring past visiting Clarkston Springfield Christian 55-28 Thursday in FBAC girls basketball play.
Jenna Porter had a game-high 27 points and nine rebounds to lead Rochester Hills Christian (4-1). Ashley Parker added 10 points, 11 rebounds and eight steals, while Kindra Armitage had six points and five assists in the Win.
Heather Key scored 13 points and Lauren Key added 10 points for Springfield Christian.
OXFORD 48, BLOOMFIELD HILLS ANDOVER 37: Andover built a 18-8 lead after the first quarter, but Oxford had the last laugh by outscoring visiting the Barons over the final three frames to take this OAA white Division victory.
Oxford rallied with a 21-2 second-quarter run for a 29-20 lead at the half and followed that up with a 15-10 surge in the third quarter and a game-closing 9-2 run in the fourth quarter.
Jessica Murphy scored 15 for Oxford (6-1, 4-0), while Miranda Murphy added 13 points for the Wildcats.
Rachel Rea scored 16 for Andover.
