BOYS BASKETBALL: Falcons pull away from Stoney Creek
ROCHESTER HILLS — Rochester used a 17-6 fourth quarter Thursday to upend Rochester Stoney Creek in the semifinals of the Rochester Holiday Classic boys basketball tournament.
The Falcons led 10-7 after the first quarter and Stoney Creek used z 10-9 edge in the second frame to close the gap down to 19-17 at the half.
In the third quarter, Stoney Creek pulled to within 29-28 but could not complete the comeback.
James young scored 14 with 14 rebounds to lead Rochester. Mike Murri and Jason Lee added eight points apiece and Arben Camaj scored seven for the Falcons.
Patrick Merz scored 12 and Ben Termowski added eight points for Stoney Creek (4-4).
