BOYS BASKETBALL: Lake Orion Baptist downs Christian Leadership; Oakland Christian downs Genesee Christian
LAKE ORION — After a slow start, Lake Orion Baptist was able to slowly pull away and defeat Troy Christian Leadership Academy 31-17 in a non-league boys basketball contest.
The Lions led 14-8 at the half and 22-12 through three quarters.
Mark Dewar finished with 18 points, 12 rebounds and six steals to lead Lake Orion Baptist. Jason Noruk made a strong contribution on the boards with 12 rebounds for the Lions (2-4).
Caleb Kiser and Dajhumbay Russel both had five points for Lake Orion Baptist.
AUBURN HILLS OAKLAND CHRISTIAN 63, BURTON GENESEE CHRISTIAN 37: John VanNoord made four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points to lead Oakland Christian to the non-league win at Oakland University. The Lancers (7-5) won for the third time in four games
Travis Rose and Hunter Shelby scored 13 points each for Genesee Christian.
