TUESDAY’S GIRLS BASKETBALL: Adams upsets Oxford; Rochester Hills edges Lake Orion Baptist; Rochester rolls Groves

OXFORD — Rochester Adams outscored Oxford 15-11 in the fourth quarter and helped on for a 43-34 OAA White Division upset of the host Wildcats.

Oxford outscored Adams 13-7 in the third quarter to pull to within 29-23.

Adams led 9-4 after the first quarter and 22-10 at the half.

Raiven Owusu scored 19 to lead Adams. Jenny Rosonke added seven points for the Highlanders (12-4, 10-2), who remained in the title chase behind Farmington Harrison and Oxford.

Shelby Davis and Miranda Murphy both scored nine points and Jessica Murphy added seven points for Oxford (13-3, 11-2).

ROCHESTER HILLS CHRISTIAN 43, LAKE ORION BAPTIST 41: Rochester Hills Christian wrapped up FBAC play Tuesday with this narrow win over the visiting Lions.

Jenna Porter led the Eagles with 18 points and 10 rebounds .Kindra Armitage had 12 points and Ashley Parker chipped in with six points and 15 rebounds Rochester Hills Christian.

Breanne Waterworth scored 20 points with 18 rebounds for Lake Orion Baptist.

ROCHESTER 56, BIRMINGHAM GROVES 39: Zhana Randolph scored 15 points and Rochester rolled to this convincing win Tuesday in OAA White Division action.

Stephanie VonBehren had six points and 11 rebounds for Rochester (10-6, 7-6), while Aubrey Konal scored 14 and Anne Tucker had 13 points and eight rebounds for the Falcons.

Jordan Blackwell scored 14 for Groves (3-13, 1-9).

WEST BLOOMFIELD 44, TROY 43: West Bloomfield pulled out this one-point OAA Red Division road win Tuesday.

Kheri Motley led West Bloomfield (6-8, 3-7with a game-high 15 points. Courtney Lucas added 12 points and Rachael Harnish chipped in with 11 points for the Lakers.

Sydney Heath with 14 points for Troy (2-14, 0-10). Rachael Zelmanski added 10 points for the Colts.

FARMINGTON HARRISON 73, TROY ATHENS 17: Amber Stephens scored 22 points and Kyla Roland followed with 15 points for Harrison.

Taylor Hill scored eight points Athens (0-16, 0-13 OAA White).

ALLEN PARK INTER-CITY BAPTIST 41, AUBURN HILLS OAKLAND CHRISTIAN 32: Becky VanSloten scored 14 points for visiting Oakland Christian (8-6, 3-5) in this MIAC Blue Division contest.
