BOYS BASKETBALL: Adams rallies past Oak Park to remain unbeaten

OAK PARK — In a rare fashion, Rochester Adams trailed at the half Thursday night.

The Highlanders still finished in the same fashion as all of their other games this season.

Adams moved to 14-0 for the first time in its 43-year history, topping Oak Park 82-70 in an OAA White Division boys basketball contest.

Akhemji Williams pumped in a career-high 35 points, going 13-for-15 from the foul line, t lead Adams. Drew McBride and Zack Littleson added 15 points apiece and Ben Limb tossed in seven for Adams, which sits one game ahead of Rochester with four league games to go.

Kenny Lockhart scored the nets with six 3-pointers and finished with 27 points to lead Oak Park. Stephon Williams added 16 points for the Knights, while Joshua Friday scored 10 for Oak Park.

Oak Park led 17-12 after the first quarter and held a 39-22 advantage at the half.

The Highlanders turned the tables with a 22-14 surge in the third quarter for a 54-53 lead entering the final frame.

Adams outscored Oak Park (8-5, 3-3) by a 28-17 count in the fourth quarter.
