GIRLS BASKETBALL: Clarkston routs North Farmington; Lake Orion snaps skid against Southfield; Holly rolls Lapeer West

CLARKSTON —Behind a 28-18 first half, Clarkston opened up a comfortable lead and cruised to a 60-39 OAA Red Division girls basketball triumph Monday over North Farmington.

The state-ranked Wolves (15-1, 11-0) led 40-26 after three quarters and closed with a 20-13 fourth quarter run.

LAKE ORION 45, SOUTHFIELD 34: Lake Orion snapped a long losing streak with this 11-point win over the Bluejays.

Hannah Hamay, who missed most of the season with an injury, scored a game-high 15 to lead Lake Orion (4-12, 3-9). Evelyn Winschneyer added nine points for the Dragons, who trailed19-17 at the half.

Lake Orion outscored Southfield 28-15 in the second half..

Cortney Williams scored 11 for Southfield.

HOLLY 33, LAPEER WEST 21: Holly won for the 15th time in 18 game Monday, topping the Panthers in Flint Metro League play.

Delaney Serra scored 11 and Allyssa Copley added eight points for Holly (15-3, 13-2), which remained in second place in the nine-team league.

Shannon Brown scored eight for Lapeer West.

SOUTHFIELD-LATHRUP 52, AUBURN HILLS AVONDALE 47: Lathrup used a 16-4 third quarter run to help turn a deficit into an OAA Red Division win.

Sydni Davis scored 19 and both Sabria Cotton and Christina Green scored 10 apiece for Lathrup, which trailed 26-17 at the half by outscored Avondale 35-21 in the second half.

Quinnece Garrison scored 13 and Teqwa’Zha Terry added 10 points for host Avondale (7-10, 6-7).

WEST BLOOMFIELD 37, ROCHESTER STONEY CREEK 32: Kheri Motley scored 13 and Ashley Zeigler added nine points to lead the Lakers to an OAA Red Division win Monday.

Emma Sobczynski tallied 10 points and Maria Zandi chipped in with nine points for Stoney Creek (9-7, 5-6).
