SATURDAY’S BOYS BASKETBALL: Lapeer West’s early surge drops Brandon
ORTONVILLE — Lapeer West opened with a 28-10 run and never looked back in stomping Ortonville Brandon 73-61 Friday in a Flint Metro League boys basketball game.
Brandon went on a 16-10 run the second frame to close to within 38-26 at the half. Both teams traded off 34 points in the second half.
ZeShawn Jones-Parker and Mark Cox scored 23 points apiece to lead Lapeer West. Cullen Turczyn added 16 points for the Panthers.
Dylan Morris scored 12 and Chuckie Rice added 10points for Brandon, which missed 25 layups in the contest.
