SUNDAY’S BOYS LACROSSE: Clarkston upends Notre Dame Prep

OXFORD — Clarkston remained unbeaten Sunday with another offensive explosion.

The Wolves outscored Pontiac Notre Dame Prep, 15-7, at the Oxford Classic.

Clarkston and Notre Dame Prep found themselves in a 5-5 deadlock through two quarters of play, before Clarkston outscored NDP 10-2 in the second half. The Wolves led 7-5 through three quarters of play before erupting for eight goals in the final quarter to put the game way.

Connor Ward scored four goals to lead Clarkston. Conner Dziewi added three goals and two assists, Kyle O’Grady chipped in with three goals and two assists and Reid Kaminski followed with two goals and an assist for the Wolves.

Also getting involved in the attack for Clarkston was Jordan Moore (one goal, three assists), Austin Egler (one goal, one assist) and Andrew Williamson (one goal).

Goalie Jake Hendricks had 13 saves for Clarkston.

Kyle Beauregard had three goals for the Irish while Mark Thierbacker and Alec Naseef had two goals each for Notre Dame Prep (3-2-0).
