Oxford will compete in the OAA Blue Division, along with Royal Oak, Auburn Hills Avondale, Pontiac, Southfield, Southfield Lathrup, Ferndale and Hazel Park. Expectations are not sky high, as most of the players are relatively new to the sport.

REGIONAL FINISH: Fourth at D-1 Rochester regional (15 points).

NOTABLES: Adams recorded a state finals berth last season and with the return of a bevy of talent, the Highlanders look to make a consecutive trip at season’s end. This year’s regional will be much tougher, as Clarkston, Rochester Adams, Farmington Hills Mercy, West Bloomfield, Rochester and Rochester Stoney Creek are all in the same 10-school region. The Highlanders won’t be able to defend their league championship, where they have been bumpe3d up to a loaded OAA Red Division this season.

LAST SEASON’S RECORD: 3-6-1, 1-5-1 OAA White Division.

NOTABLES: After a rebuilding year last spring, Stoney Creek looks to make a jump up the standings this season with a talented freshman playing No. 1 singles and nine total returning latter winners on a 15-player roster. The jury is out to see if this is a state-caliber team, but one likely scenario is this team is better overall than last year.

NOTABLES: Troy Athens graduated seven of the top 12 players from last season, including most of its top overall players. The OAA White Division race will be wide open, so if the Red Hawks get production from its seven newcomers, Athens could be a contender once again in the league. As for the state tournament, the Red Hawks missed by just a point last season. Athens is hoping to build enough firepower to make the cut for the fourth time in six seasons.
