GIRLS SOCCER: Avondale clinches OAA-White title

AUBURN HILLS — Back on top.

After a several-year hiatus, Auburn Hills Avondale staked claimed to the OAA White Division girls soccer title Tuesday with a 3-0 victory over visiting North Farmington.

Madison Duncan netted what proved to be the game winner with16:29 left in the opening half, depositing a breakaway feed from Tailor Mathes into the back of the net.

Jessica Creach scored courtesy of a Duncan pass in the 44th minute, then Duncan tallied in the 69th minute with an unassisted goal to cap the scoring.

Jessica Smith had three saves in goal for the shutout for Avondale (10-4-0, 9-1-0).

Katie Foss finished with four saves in a losing effort for North Farmington (6-4-2, 5-3-2).soccer - balls on field
