TROY — Rochester needed a win and a Rochester Stoney Creek loss Tuesday to gain the OAA Red Division girls soccer league title. Troy made sure that didn’t happen.

Wideman scored with 1:05 left off a pass from Madison Hirsch to help the Colts gain a 1-1 tie with visiting Rochester.

Freshman Zo Schultz scored on a first-half penalty kick to stake Rochester to a 1-0 lead. The Falcons could not hang on for the lead.

Alison Holland, Troy’s goalkeeper, made five saves in her return after a three-week hiatus. Stephanie Heber made five saves for Rochester (9-1-2, 5-1-2).

Troy moved to 3-6-3 overall with the tie.soccer - foot on ball
