TROY — Bloomfield Hills United defeated Troy twice this season in girls lacrosse. The second victory over the colts came on a much bigger stage Saturday.

The Blackhawks posted a 14-6 victory over host Troy, coming in the Division 1 regional finals. The regional title is the first in program history for Bloomfield Hills and sends the Blackhawks into Wednesday’s state semifinals at Hartland against Ann Arbor Pioneer.

Seniors Margaret Metzger and Maddie Monahan both scored four goals to lead a balanced attack for Bloomfield Hills.  Elana Miller, also a two-event state qualifier in track, chipped in with two goals while Annie Reed made eight saves on 14 Troy shots in the win.

Jenny Darish scored three for Troy.              lacrosse - girls
