GIRLS LACROSSE: Athens’ Chen signs with Queens

TROY — Troy Athens lacrosse standout Becca Chen signed a national letter of intent recently to play lacrosse at Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Chen, a midfielder, was a four-year starter on the Red Hawks’ varsity.

Chen has been an All-OAA Red Division selection in 2010 and 2011. She missed part of the 2012 season with an injury and gained All-Area Honorable Mention honors. She was an All-Area First Team pick as a sophomore. .

“Chen has been a tireless worker in practice and a real student of the game of lacrosse,” said Athens girls lacrosse coach Rob Holder. “She has been a team leader who likes to help teammates and has worked hard this season to complement her scoring abilities with a deft passing touch.”lacrosse - girls
