BOYS BASKETBALL: Notre Dame Prep edges Lake Shore

PONTIAC — Pontiac Notre Dame Prep built a 32-20 lead at the half Friday, then hung on in the end for a 57-56 non-league boys basketball win over St. Clair Shores Lake Shore.

Lake Shore used a 16-8 surge in the third quarter and a 20-17 edge in the fourth stanza to climb within striking distance.

Jermaih Johnson scored 20 to lead the Fighting Irish. Alex Stewart added 17 points for NDP (3-3).

Michael Johnson scored 18 for Lake Shore.
